Toddlers

The Toddler room offers our youngest children a welcoming, homelike environment in which to play and learn. At this age children are aquiring new skills rapidly and developing a sense of themselves as independent beings. As their language and cognitive skills grow, children at this stage begin to devlop a sense of self- assertion and enjoy doing things themselves. In our toddler program we honor each child's growing sense of autonomy and seek to build their self- confidence and competancy by offering them activities that allow them to practice the new skills they are learning in a safe, nurturing and suppotive environment. Children's interests are encouraged and developed over time as teachers observe and document their work.

Communication between parents and teachers is a key component in supporting each child's individual growtth. Creating a meaningful bond with your child's teacher can ensure that his or her first experience at school is a positive and enriching one.  Each day a Toddlergram is sent home via email and teachers provide weekly documentation of the children's activities.Monthy newsletters reflect on the class activities further and provide information that help parents stay connected to their child's experience.
