Welcome to the Hopkinton Independent School’s website! I invite you to browse our pages, peek into our classrooms, and explore our lively curriculum, rich natural landscape, and innovative programs as you learn about our school.

Since our founding in 1988, the Hopkinton Independent School has devoted itself to developing the whole child, with specific focus on intellectual, emotional, social, creative, physical and moral growth.  We offer a rigorous academic program with a progressive social curriculum. Guided by the work of Dr. Howard Gardner, we also offer numerous opportunities for students to enhance their learning through all their various “intelligences,” including music, art, drama, language studies, sports, mathematical discovery, outdoor exploration, and study of the natural environment.  

We are a diverse learning community comprised of active and engaged students, talented and dedicated teachers, committed parents and supportive friends. Together and through partnerships with other local organizations, we reach out to our larger community via numerous service initiatives.  We encourage our students to be their very best in all that they do, to welcome differences, and to respect themselves, their peers, and the world they inhabit.
